1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Heed (the "App" or "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 26 Labs Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales ("we," "us," or "our").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Heed is a digital wellbeing and Islamic practice application for iOS. The Service uses Apple's Screen Time API and FamilyControls framework to monitor daily usage of user-selected applications. When a daily time limit is reached, Heed presents a short dhikr ritual before allowing additional screen time to be earned.

Heed also provides: a full offline Quran reader with curated verses and contextual guidance; a daily prayer tracker; a Qibla direction compass; a private on-device reflection journal; and a personal statistics and streak profile.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Heed. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

You must have a valid Apple ID and an iPhone running iOS 17 or later to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

Access to Heed requires an active subscription. We currently offer an annual subscription plan. All pricing is displayed in the App Store listing and within the app at the point of purchase.

4.2 Billing

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Important: Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

4.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be made directly to Apple in accordance with their refund policy at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to process refunds directly.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any changes will be communicated in advance via the App Store, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Promo and Offer Codes

We may issue promotional or offer codes from time to time, including through partner and influencer programmes. These codes are subject to the following conditions:

The Heed name, the four-pointed star logo, and all associated branding are the exclusive property of 26 Labs Ltd. You may not use, copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service or its branding without our express written permission.

Quran text and translations included in the app are used under open licences and remain the intellectual heritage of the Muslim community. The curated contextual content, takeaways, and categorisation system are original works of 26 Labs Ltd.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that screen time restrictions will function in all circumstances or on all device configurations, as this functionality depends on Apple's iOS operating system and FamilyControls framework.

Religious and spiritual content within Heed — including Quran translations, contextual guidance, and dhikr prompts — is provided for informational and educational purposes. We encourage users to verify religious guidance with qualified scholars.

Prayer times shown in the app are calculated estimates based on established Islamic calculation methods. Times may vary by location and should be verified with local mosque timetables for certainty.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by English law, 26 Labs Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for your current subscription period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also have the benefit of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will notify you within the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
